Can I use different oil in my truck without affecting its warranty?

No, using different oil in your truck won’t void its warranty. This is provided that this is added to the vehicle in line with the standards that the manufacturer specifies.

Any lubricants manufactured to OE specifications will be covered under the Motor Vehicle Block Exemption Regulation. This provides you with the flexibility to choose where you purchase oil for your vehicle. It also means you aren’t restricted to using the main dealer for your vehicle when it comes to servicing it.

All of the lubricants that we offer at HGV Direct are designed to meet or exceed the manufacturers’ specifications. Main dealers don’t manufacture lubricants, so will use the same sources and suppliers as we do to fulfil their requirements.

At HGV Direct, we offer a wide range of oils and other lubricants that are suitable for all of the leading truck manufacturers including DAF, IVECO, Mercedes Benz, Renault, Volvo, MAN, and Scania.

All of these lubricants meet OE specifications, so using them won’t affect your vehicle’s warranty.

You will be able to learn more about the warranty statement and quality promise offered by ADI branded lubricants in the documents linked below.
