You’ll need a Trailer Hitch Receiver, a Ball Mount, a Pin and Clip, a Trailer Hitch Ball, and a Wiring Harness to safely and correctly tow a trailer.
What are the new UK Towing Rules?
If you passed your car driving test after the 1st of January 1997, you’re allowed to tow trailers up to 3500kg MAM, without taking a car and trailer towing test. This also means that you no longer require a towing license, if you passed your driving test after this date.
